Andy - April and May, 2009
Andy is five and a half months old now, and he has learned a lot of new tricks in the months of April and May. He is rolling over now, he loves chewing on his own toes, and he loves playing with toys (he regularly entertains himself for over an hour at a time!). Because Abby is in school, he spends some mornings with our friend E.J., and other mornings with his girlfriend, Linnea (and her mom, Aubrey... they are properly chaperoned--see pictures below). We were a little concerned about how affectionate Andy and Linnea were getting... he tried to eat her on two different occasions. We do think it is cute when he holds her hand though.
He has slept through the night consistently for about three weeks now! He loves going on walks with his mom, and he loves chewing on anything he can get his hands on. He is starting to get some experience with a sippy cup, though he still hates cereal. He has a stand-up toy that we put him in frequently, which he likes a lot. He likes playing with his stuffed soccer ball; he often giggles when we give it to him.
It was nice to have Uncle Paul around a lot this past semester. Andy learned to love grabbing Paul's face and trying to eat his nose.
I am home a lot more now that school is out, so Andy and I hang out all evening while Abby does homework. All in all, the McGrew family is having lots of fun together!
