September with Our Andy-Boy

There are lots of new things going on with Andy this month. As you will see in the pictures below, Andy has turned into a ham. He now knows when the camera is on and loves to smile for the camera! He loves playing in our ugly, new entertainment center (don't worry, we're in the process of making it pretty), and even does "ant bridge" inside the holes. I have yet to get a picture of that, though, since he knows what's going on now. Andy has a new toy and he is getting really good at walking with it! If you haven't seen the video posted below, you should watch it. He loves to "read" his books, and now he has lots because I went to DI and bought 20 or so for fifty cents each (I wiped them all down really well with a bleach wipe). He loves playing with his reflection in the mirror now, and laughs at himself regularly. I think he's funny too. Papaw would tell him that looks aren't everything! Remember how I found him in the laundry basket a couple of weeks ago? Well, I found him in his toy box a few days later. He was so mad after a while because he couldn't tip it over to get out! I let him watch some cartoons the other day and he was GLUED to the TV until the computer animation was gone from the screen. Between the TV show he watched and his long naps (from being sick) I got a ton of homework done that day! Also, he refuses to eat baby food. He only wants to eat what we are eating. At first, we thought he just wanted to feed himself, but then, we realized that he was fine eating mashers, or soup from our spoons. He wants OUR food now. He LOVED the zuppa toscana at Olive Garden the other night, and screamed "mamamama" at the top of his lungs whenever he thought we were feeding him too slowly. We were a little embarrassed. Finally, we have found him in a variety of strange positions while sleeping in the last two weeks. Usually he has his little butt up in the air, and an arm out to the side, or on his tummy with his blankie and thumb in his mouth. By the way, Gramma Kay, we would love one or two more of these for Christmas or birthday for him...he gets mad when I have to wash it!
