Alright, so I fell WAY off the wagon...It's been almost a month and a half since I have given an update of what Andy is up to lately. I'm really sorry. Here is what I have for now:
Andy is getting really good at talking and communicating with us. It's way fun to hear him say new words, like ta-ku for truck! We have to limit him on his TV watching because all he wants to do is watch movies (and he tells us so).
Andy started nursery last week and was awesome. He didn't even care that we left the room. He was so excited to play on the airplane toy they have, and be with big kids. He got a little rowdy during singing time because he was doing what one of the big kids was doing (running around the room), but was great aside from that. At church this past Sunday, Reed told me that Andy needed a diaper change and said he would go do it if I gave him the stuff. I got the pad, diaper and wipes out and when Andy saw them, he said "No!" and tried to escape. It was awesome.
Another funny moment was when Andy was being babysat yesterday...The sitter went to get a plate out of the cupboard and Andy said no and went to the drawer where we keep his dishes and got a bowl and spoon out for her. He also made sure to let her know that he sits in his high chair (it's now on the floor because we are packing) instead of on the table.
Before you are a parent you hear about the terrible twos a lot, but you don't usually hear that they begin so early. Well, we're in the terrible two stage, I think. He throws fits and yells as loud as he can and for the first time I was embarrassed in public when my child threw a monster tantrum, complete with screaming, flailing limbs and head banging. I'm sure it won't be the last time.
We have lots of fun with Andy. He's doing new fun things every day. Once we're moved into our new place I'll get some pictures up.
