So, we're loser parents. We had every intention of going to the trunk or treat at our ward building, or to Aubrey and Jonathan's family get together (we could have done both!), but we forgot them both! Reed's brother Paul offered to watch the kids again while we went to the library to get some homework done. Well, sneaked off to have a lunch date and then do homework for a few hours. We got back at close to four and Olivia was acting like she hadn't eaten in days. It was the whole: "I'm starving...wasting away to nothing! Why doesn't anyone ever feed me" routine. I fed her, got her to sleep, and heated up some leftovers for dinner. Then Reed, Paul and I played "New Super Mario Brothers" for a little while. Reed took Paul home at six and we both realized around then that the kids didn't have their costumes on, we had pretty much missed Aubrey and Jonathan's family thing, and the ward trunk or treat was started already. So, we put the kids in their costumes and took some pictures. Yes, you read that right. We got the kids all dressed up for Halloween, took a few pictures, and put them in bed. Andy was a very unwilling Elmo...as you will soon see, Andy did not want to be in the costume, and so he unzipped it and took it off after we snapped the one decent picture of the three total pictures. Olivia, who was infinitely more cooperative (for now) was Partly Cloudy. Allyn (an old roommate of mine) came up with the idea to make her a cloud, and we were going to put a rainbow ribbon in her hair, bur we couldn't find rainbow ribbon at the Wal-mart and so Allyn made her a sun hat. It's amazing! And, yes, she was attempting to eat the cotton balls. Like I said, ravenous. Here are the pictures:
